Elden Ring Regalia of Eochaid Build Guide - Dragon Dancer (2024)

In this Elden Ring Regalia of Eochaid Build Guide, I’ll be showing you my Dragon Dancer build. This is an NG+ build that is sort of an evolution and combination of the Dragon Warrior build and the Eochaid Executioner. It takes strategies from both of those builds and combines them together into one extremely powerful build.

Elden Ring Regalia of Eochaid Build – Equipment

The weapon we’ll be using for this build is the Regalia of Eochaid. The reason I decided on this one instead of the Marais Executioner’s Sword is because it has a better Arcane scaling than that weapon. Arcane scaling is important because we’re going to be using the Dragon Communion Seal in order to cast Dragon spells. If you can crank Arcane in order to get damage out of your weapon and also get incantation scaling, it’s a better pairing than the weapon that has less Arcane scaling. The Regalia of Eochaid’s Dexterity scaling isn’t that great, as once you hit about 20 Dexterity, any point from 50-80 Arcane are about the same as one point in Dexterity. There’s no reason to go with Dexterity, unless you’re trying to speed up your cast speed.

The Eochaid’s Dancing Blade skill is almost identical to the Marais Executioner’s Sword’s skill, it just doesn’t have quite as long of a range because the blade is smaller. It hits rapidly, which if you combine with talismans that boosts your attack with repeated hits, increases not only your regular attacks, but also your Dragon incantations. This is a similar strategy with the Dragon Warrior build, but with the Regalia of Eochaid. The weapon scales with Arcane, making it a perfect pair with your skills. If you were to use a Faith seal, you would have to increase it, which would take very long.

When it comes to headgear, I’m using the Mask of Confidence in order to give me +3 Arcane. You can use the Silver Tear Mask to get +8 in Arcane, but it will reduce your physical damage by a bit. We do a lot of physical damage with this build, which would be offset by using Silver Tear Mask, but it’s totally an option for you. I haven’t tested it completely as I don’t like the fashion of it, but it can be a viable option if you’d like to save yourself a few levels.

For the armor, I’m using a combination of the Exile Set and the Bloodhound Knight Set. You could use the whole Exile set if you want. The reason for this is because I’m trying to save points on Endurance. You could go with a heavier armor set to get better protection and Poise, even save yourself a talisman slot if you do that. However, you’ll have to increase your Endurance in order to have a higher equip load in order to medium roll. You can go for wearing heavier armor and fat rolling because you’ll simply walk up to bosses, hit L2, then hit L1, the fight would be over. You don’t need to dodge as long as you have enough Poise.

You can swap things around, as sometimes I’ll use heavy armor and swap out my talismans to deal more damage with Regalia of Eochaid’s Dancing Blade. It’ll make boss fights easier, so you can wear heavy armor or invest in Endurance if you want.

Elden Ring Regalia of Eochaid Build – Talismans

When it comes to talismans for this build, I have:

Shard of Alexander to increase the damage of Eochaid’s Dancing Blade.

Rotten Winged Sword Insignia and Millicent’s Prosthesis to increase damage build-up or attack power when using Dancing Blade. Millicent’s Prosthesis gives us +5 Dexterity, which will help us reach 20 Dexterity. This’ll save you five levels, which is really nice.

I also have the Bull-Goat’s Talisman. This will take the armor that I’m wearing and put it over 51 Poise breakpoint so you can take one regular hit from most enemies, allowing you to get Eochaid’s Dancing Blade easier.

If you’re using heavier armor, or have increased endurance, you can swap Bull-Goat’s Talisman out for Godfrey Icon as you can charge Dancing Blade. You can also use Flock’s Canvas Talisman to increase your incantation damage for your Dragon spells.

Elden Ring Regalia of Eochaid Build – Spells and Gameplay

The first spell we’ll be using is Golden Vow. This buffs your damage, defenses. This also boosts your Dancing Blade’s damage, regular attack damage, and spell damage, which is great.

Elden Ring Regalia of Eochaid Build Guide - Dragon Dancer (9)

We also have Flame, Grant Me Strength. Most of the damage you deal are physical damage, as a lot of the Dragon spells that we’re using deal physical damage. Agheel’s Flame does fire damage. This affects all of your spells, so this is a spell you should be using as it’ll be very beneficial for you.

Up next is the first Dragon spell we’ll be using, Dragonclaw. I really like this spell for groups of enemies. For boss fights, it’s hard to get the first and second cast off without getting hit. You can get the first cast off, but maybe they’ll hit you while you’re casting the second one. Sometimes, you can get knocked out of that second animation. It’s a bit more mobile compared to Dragonmaw.

Elden Ring Regalia of Eochaid Build Guide - Dragon Dancer (11)

Next up is Dragonmaw. This is the one I really like to use boss fights, because once you trigger the attack power buffs with Eochaid’s Dancing Blade, one or two casts of this spell will kill a boss. This hits like an absolute truck, does a ton of Poise damage. It’s fantastic for boss fights, particularly against bosses that aren’t very small or mobile.

Elden Ring Regalia of Eochaid Build Guide - Dragon Dancer (12)

Greyoll’s Roar is a very situational spell. It does an AoE roar that decreases the amount of damage that enemies do to you. It also increases the damage they take for 60 seconds. It’s a good AoE, but it doesn’t have the greatest range. If you’re looking for range in an AoE, you’re probably better off with Dragonclaw because you can hit tiwce, go forward, then use Agheel’s Flame or any of the other breath spells like Ekzykes’s Decay. You can use this if you’re doing co-op boss fights, as it can be a bit easier to use there.

Elden Ring Regalia of Eochaid Build – Attributes

When it comes to the stats we have for this build, we have: 50 Vigor, 35 Mind, 10 Endurance, 12 Strength, 20 Dexterity, 16 Intelligence, 30 Faith, and 75 Arcane. You don’t need any Intelligence for this build, but I started as an Astrologist so you can disregard the 16 Intelligence.

Elden Ring Regalia of Eochaid Build Guide - Dragon Dancer (14)

50 Vigor is plenty here. You don’t have the tankiest armor, but you’re not trying to stay in melee range that often. You usually are just getting off Eochaid’s Dancing Blade on an enemy, then casting your spells. You’ll eventually want to take this up to 60 because you aren’t using the best protection, unless you swap out and go for the heavy armor route. You can also try to get rid of Bull-Goat’s Talisman for the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman. You do have Golden Vow to help with protection, so getting Vigor up is not that urgent.

Elden Ring Regalia of Eochaid Build Guide - Dragon Dancer (15)

You’ll probably want even more than 35 Mind. You’re buffing with Golden Vow, using Dragon spells, and holding down breath spells. These things drain your FP fast, so getting this up to 40 or 50 will be really good. It’ll make you a little less dependent on FP flasks.

When it comes to Endurance, I have 10 here because we aren’t using very heavy armor. We’re using Bull-Goat’s Talisman, which’ll keep points out of Endurance as you’ll still be able to do a medium roll. If you don’t mind heavy rolling, you can leave this at 10. If you still want to be able to do a medium roll, you have to increase this by 10 to 15 points, depending on what armor piece you want to use.

12 Strength and 20 Dexterity is here to meet the requirements for Regalia of Eochaid. It only needs 18 Dexterity, but the scaling for this weapon is decent so I added two extra points in there. After 20 Dexterity, the difference between Arcane and Dexterity is negligible so you might as well go Arcane in order to increase your incantation scaling as well.

When it comes to Faith, you need at least 28 Faith to use Greyoll’s Roar. We’re also using Dragon Communion Seal, which starts dropping off significantly at around 45 or 50 Arcane. At some point increasing Faith will be more beneficial than Arcane, so you’re going to get more incantation scaling out of pumping Faith at this point that you would on Arcane.

Arcane would be better to increase than Faith until you hit 80, so you can get incantation scaling and weapon damage. Once you hit 80 Arcane, you’re going to want to boost your incantation damage through Faith.

Elden Ring Regalia of Eochaid Build – Final Tips

If you’re using the Flask of Wondrous Physick, I recommend the Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear if you’re going to be using Agheel’s Flame. If not, you can use the Thorny Cracked Tear to increase your attack power damage as you do consecutive hits. You could use both of these if you plan on using both Agheel’s Flame and Eochaid’s Dancing Blade.

Another good one to use will be Cerulean Hidden Tear. Dragon spells cost so much FP, particularly if you want to start a boss fight from range with a breath spell. You won’t be draining your FP for two casts of it, otherwise you’re going to cast it once, chug an FP pot, cast it again, then repeat.

Lastly, Godrick’s Great Rune is a great choice here as you need all the attributes you can get. It’ll allow you to free up points in order to optimize the build even further.
