With the help of our birthday enthusiasts (that’s you!), we will host a birthday party for all children (ages 1-18) that have a birthday this month, and we invite all children and family members living at the shelter to join us for the party. Our one-hour celebration is a chance for kids to dream big. Our parties are so much more than a celebration – they are a loud exclamation point that kids matter! Our parties can't happen without the support of volunteers. Your role is extremely vital and important! It’s not uncommon that our clients come to us without any form of identification for themselves or their children. We assist them in navigating the process of obtaining birth certificates, social security cards and other vital records that will be essential for securing employment, education, housing and participating in government support programs.

📣Calling all STL Landlords!📣St. Louis’ social service community and the STL Metro Housing Collective are looking to build long-lasting partnerships with landlords, property managers, stakeholders and developers to assist with housing our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Across the region, social service organizations, like Gateway180, have hundreds of clients looking for housing units. Join us this Wednesday, May 22nd, to hear from landlords and organizations about the financial, social and case management support available to you. ✨❗OUR G180 CAFETERIA GOT A MAKEOVER❗✨We are beyond thrilled to show off this newly refreshed space. Our cafeteria is a sacred place where our women, children and families start and end each day with a warm, healthy meal. Thanks to our village of volunteers, the space is now refreshed and inviting with newly painted and repaired walls, lighting & fans, and wall decor. ❤️ Special thank you to our partners at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church, especially Tim Miller and John Torretta, who spearheaded this project and recruited all the donations and volunteers. ❤️ Time, talents and supplies were generously donated by: the Job Corps Painters Union, Wendel Harris, Mike Anderson & the Painters District Council #58, Alberici Construction, the Plasters Union, BRK Electric, Amini's for donation of lighting & fans, Elizabeth Darrish for on-sight design, Sherwin-Williams for donation of paint, Independents Graphic & Display for the donation & installation of graphics, Barb Higgins for designing the graphics, Mike Newton & James Jones and the IBEW Local 1, Sal Mazzola, Dan Benton, & Shannon Marshall and the IUOE Local 513, St. Louis City Labor Legislative Club, Keith & Sherry Kohne, all of the volunteers who helped clean, and finally, Gateway180's very own Elliot Owens & Clint Cooper for their assistance!
