I love dips and cheeses, so this is a bit of both. Another favorite dip is this homemade baba ganoush recipe, but you might prefer something a bit cheesier like these homemade cheese boulders. They are all great for a little extra something as an appetizer or starter for a meal.

Do You Take the Rind off Brie Before Baking?

Traditionally, you remove the rind from brie before baking it. However, there are some recipes that call for leaving it on. It really depends on your preference. Leaving the rind on will keep the cheese together in the rind, but without it, you'll find the cheese may spread out onto the dish.

What Can I Use Instead of Honey?

There are a lot of reasons that people do not want to use honey. You might not have it on hand or you might not be able to use honey because of allergies. Honey can also be expensive and some people worry about what is added to some of the store-bought honey.

You can use agave nectar or maple syrup as a substitute for honey. Molasses can be also be used for a richer flavor. Another choice would be to use brown sugar and water. Only add enough water to make a paste so that it gets a similar texture to honey.

Coconut syrup or nectar, barley malt syrup, and rice malt syrup are more substitutes for honey that are a little less common than some of the other choices.
