The phrase originating from alley craps back in the Great Depression was turned into a Nevada urban legend by the movie “21.”
It told the tale of a Chinese dealer in Las Vegas creating the phrase based on winning an average bet, which would make over $2, more than the price of a nice chicken dinner.
